TOPIC: 1967 Starcraft Jet Star 15'

1967 Starcraft Jet Star 15' 13 years 4 months ago #71778

I have a 15' 1967 Jetstar rated for a 50HP. I am thinking of putting a 1972 65HP Mercury on it. Should I?

Hi,
1972 is the first year of the three cylinder models. I would think it very well suited for your boat, assuming that the shaft length is correct. Besides, at the propeller shaft (as current outboards are rated), the horsepower is between 50 and 55 horsepower.

Regards,
Joe
