Fun boat and nice to ski behind, but not very practical and can be a wet boat. Top end is/was about 30-35mph with the coventry climax motors producing about 45-48mph.

the coventry climax was in a different hull- 14-15 foot. i need a cortina engine to make my 12' whole again. this was the yacht tender boat for the rich and snooty in europe!

closed cooling system was copper coils running in the floor of the boat to use ambient water temperature as cooling force. that engine looks corroded though.

Jon, isn't that the one you were on the way to go pick up when we met up to deal a couple years ago? (An Albatross near Augusta, as I recall?)

Yours should be 12ft 9ins - the Sport, incl the 1220 climax engined, were 13ft 2ins and the Continental is 15ft 3ins. The Corsair and Slipper Sterns am not sure of though..most of the latter 2 had Alpine motors anyway.
