We are rebuilding a 1962 Comanche Duratech Cabin cruiser. It came with a 1963 Johnson engine, 75h/p. If anyone knows of other owners of this classic, let us know.
There was also a web site listed previously where one could download a parts manual for this engine... but cannot find it now. Any help?

Been working on this every few days. Need to start riveting soon as that's really the only major work left. For those that have never seen this type of corrosion, this is what salt water does to ali over time. Am missing 45 or so rivets and more will let go over time when she's running, as the water has ingressed under the mushroom heads and weakened the shanks, such that banging the hull with a mallet makes the weak ones pop off - generally the shanks remain and have to be driven out, or drilled. I do have plans to fit a bilge pump... Last in the water in '83. Link to pics below:-

Just checked out the pics of your project there. Looks like you have really taken on a project. You are certainly headed in the right direction with replacing the rivets. Lots of work there Looks like she is shinning up really nice for you. Keep up the great work and thanks for all the pics you posted. Keep us informed on your progress and let us know what motor you gonna hang on it. Good luck, Skip.

After many issues...engine and more leaks, pinholes and corroded rivets (another 30 odd) have managed to stem the tide to a few pints. Here's a pic of the boat running a few weeks back.
