TOPIC: Boat Plain

I have a Wooster Hellion and just got the motor running / I am having trouble getting it to plain. Some time sucks in air.

Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear you're having trouble Rick, but I think the "Troubleshooting Crew" will need a little more info to go on here. What kind (and size)of motor are you using? Getting it running is a good first step, but have the carbs been cleaned and rebuilt with fresh gaskets, floats, etc.? (Fuel pump kit and all gas hoses replaced as well?) Check to make sure the carbs are opening fully at WOT? Have you checked for a strong spark at the spark plugs? Can you describe what she's doing when you attempt to get her up on plane? Just throwing a few ideas and questions out there, I'm sure the gang will be glad to help you out with a little more info about what's going on there.

I have a mercury 110 9.8 hp

Carb cleaned and new seats
Runs pretty good

The boat seems to push alot of water

and it sucks air right before it wants to leave off

I need to out the gas tank in the front and one person only to get close to plain.

lets see a pic from the back,on the trailer, prop size&condition. is the hull flat?

Prop - change is what was needed.
