"1960" Dolphin Salty 16' with flying bridge (23)
My 1960 Dolphin Salty 16 flybridge cruiser. Enclosed head, sleeps two, flying bridge, she's 15'11" long, 91" wide, her transom is 86.5" wide. She's a fatty. She was the first Mystery Boat on Fiberglassics back in 1999. This model was used for several photo spreads in books and magazines during 1961 and 1962. It was also featured in some of the original Homelite 4 cycle outboard brochures. This is the only one known to exist at this time, 2010. Back in 1998 I started my quest to find one, and asked for Kelly's help on the then new Fiberglassics. In 2003 or so member alumglass posted that he had discovered some articles about the boat in an old Fawcett book from 1962 declaring this a Dolphin Salty. So we finally knew the make. In 2004 a friend called me from the boat show in Olympia WA, and said one was moored there. I finally bought this boat when the owner moved up to a 36'er in late 2007. So it's been a long affair, this boat! Wonder if another will appear?

"1963" Dorsett Catalina (13)
The Dorsett Catalina was styled by the famous streamline designer Raymond Loewy and built by Dorsett Plastics Company of Santa Clara, California. Raymond Loewy is also known for designing the United States Coast Guard logo, Air Force One paint scheme, and various Studebaker cars. The Catalina design continued with only minor changes from 1959 through 1963. 1963 is the only year with paint below the rub-rail and the “Catalina” name plate on the cabin. She has an overall length of 16 feet 8 inches and a beam of 79 inches. Displacement is 860 pounds. In her day, the hull was recognized as best-in-class, performing better than other first generation fiberglass hulls. She features a 6 foot double bunk. She has her original matching trailer. “Michelle” lived most of her life in Fall Creek, Oregon. After sitting in a barn for about 15 years, her second owner moved her to Southern California for a two-year restoration. She now lives at Big Bear Lake.

"1966" Winner, Shalimar or Marathon? (6)
I bought this 16' boat in poor condition for $1000 in 1985 when I was 15. Almost 30 years later I found the right people to restore it better than new. (no wood anywhere on it now)I don't have much of the original hardware anymore and I'm not so sure how much was changed before I bought it. I was more interested in "improving" the look of it back then rather than restoring it. Now I wish I could locate anything it originally came with.

"Ladies Bertrams" (6)
Call me crazy but nothing like a boat that will always bring you home safe no matter the weather and when i look at it, its like a beautiful lady who has aged well and becomes better with time, even with over 50 years old they look hotter than most of the new "bimbos"... 1965 B20 Moppie and 1980 B31 Hardtop. What would be of Fiberglass boats if those beauties wouldn't exist?

1950 12' Magnesium Starcraft
Dow Chemical's boats division was purchased by Star Tank & Boat Company (which ultimately became Starcraft Boats) of Goshen, IN. According to an article in the January 1949 issue of "The Boating Industry" magazine the sale recently occurred and that Star would eliminate the Dowcraft name. Magnesium boats were 1/3rd less weight than aluminum boats. A 12 1/2 ft. row/motor boat weighed 75 pounds.

I bought this boat with my father about 15 years ago. It was rotten to the floor. I completely restored it from the ground up over the last 15 years. I take it to the lake every weekend. I hope you enjoy checking it out. The lone star is my fathers boat. He restored the entire boat and converted it to jet drive. He is still restoring it and looking for the windows. He works on it everyday it is a beautiful and unique boat. Enjoy

We bought this boat from the original owners five years ago, and like so many projects it has sat in storage since. This fall we began the restoration, with the help of some very talented friends. At present she has been gutted. The transom and floor have been replaced and she is starting to come back together. More to follow obviously.

I found this beauty on Craig's List and it was in good condition despite sitting for almost 10 years. The previous owner revived it and cleaned it up, but didn't want to take it any further. I promised to pick up where he left off and so far so good. I've replaced the windows with new plexiglass that I did myself and am going to wire it up soon. Overall, it is a great boat and I use it as my camper each weekend. You typically don't see boats like this cruising around the lakes of Wyoming!

We jhust got her earlier this year and did vital restorations so we could get her on the water this season. She is all original, except 1 cleat, new paint on the interrior, the trim piece for the windshield had to be replaced, and the seats that were horribly rotted out were replaced, and new seats made and design was inspired by the original pattern. More pics to come, including the pics of how she was when we got her.

I got this boat when it was a piece of driveway art being used to store all manner of junk by the owner. I "rescued" it and over the course of three years I fully restored/upgraded it to the showpiece it is today. Fully upfitted and Coast Guard approved (in fact the Coast Guard sometimes waves me over just to take a look...not to give me a hard time!) This boat is up for sale in the Glassifieds where more information can be found. ENJOY!!!

The Mercury that was on it lasted a year and the '72 Evinrude 50 we later put on it lasted two and a bit. We're currently looking for the perfect fit for her! This boat has been a ton of fun! We can't get over the attention it gets at the marinas. What a blast! We wouldn't have gotten anywhere with this project if it wasn't for the info and leads from Fiberglassics!

This is my 1959 Dorsett Catalina. I am looking forward to the restoration process, but will be the first to admit that I know practically nothing. The transom and aft portion of the deck will need to be replaced, but the rest of the vessel appears to be in good shape. Needs restoration of gelcoat and rebuild V-berth. Some bright-work and a rebuilt bulkheaad along with refurbished windows will make this baby the coolest thing on Clearlake! I am looking forward to learning from the more experienced members of this site and eventually showing off the finished product. In the meantime, here is what I am starting with . . .

1959 Larson All-American - Miss Jesse (27)
1959 Larson All-American 16' - 1959 Larson All-American - Miss Jesse
This is our 1959 16-foot Larson All-American, built in Nashville, Georgia. The following are photos of her several-year restoration, from the hole in the floor to the final touches (still in progress). I saw the boat in someone's yard and finally bought boat, motor and original trailer for $250 about 12 years ago. Then the fun began! Starting with grinding the entire boat down to bare fiberglass and replacing the transom and floor, we made several failed attempts at re-gelcoating, we finally got the result we were looking for. She has a shine which probably surpasses the original finish, and soon a rebuilt '59 Mercury Mark 55 will grace her stern. Pictures on the lake to follow!

1959 Larson All-American--the Eliza Morgan (1)
1959 Larson All-American--the Eliza Morgan
16-foot All-American built in Nashville, GA. I am the second owner! Paint is very close to the original colors of medium blue and white and the scheme is original. The custom numbers and name were done by The Matrix Department in Leesburg, GA. The windshield is from an early 60's All-American (much stronger frame and mounts slightly forward of the original) and the motor is a 1984 70hp w/ a 60hp cowling. The Eliza Morgan has full modern electronics (including LED lighting and Standard Horizon radio) and a custom, 27-gal fuel tank. The gauges are Faria "Chesapeake" w/ grey and white faces. The electronics and fuel system were installed by Randall Marine of Phenix City, AL. This boat did not have Larson logos in the "v" of the sweepspears, but had the logos near the stern where the name is now.

1959? Invader Runabout (3)
1959? Invader Runabout
I picked up this boat in May '09 to restore. I'm not exactly sure about the year, but it has a 1958 Evinrude Lark on it and a Golden Jubilee (1959) speedo, so I'm taking a stab at guessing the year as 1959. Currently the motor is about 3/4 of the way through an overhaul. The boat will get new paint this summer and will hopefully be in the water soon! It is missing the front bench. I'm looking for one close to the original for the restoration. If anyone knows where to find a front bench seat for this thing, please drop me a line! More details here: http://mysite.verizon.net/res78w95/boat/index.html

1960 18' Wagemaker Empire Clipper Restoration
This was my grandfather's boat. When he died my dad bought it from my grandmother and he passed so now I have it. It's been a lake boat all its life. It's been in a garage all it's life and hasn't seen water since 1980. Is hould have taken some before shots but I forgot. Also my dad had already stripped it and started refinishing it but left a can of oil on the port bow. It leaked and rasied the varnish. I stripped the whole thing and started from scratch. I wasn't sure what color filler stain he used or what was factory so I just used Interlux CC Red Mohogany. Yes that is a 1959 Evinrude "Fatty" Fifty on the back. I have the original Jubilee starter/chocke plaque and Attwood steering wheel. They're of in the garage for the renovation. The following are the stripped and stained pics. Once I get it varnished I'll take more pics.

1960 Glasspar G-3 w/ Starflite Motor FOR SALE
This is my favorite little G-3 ski boat. All original or rebuilt original with new paint and vinyl. My wife found this about 5 yrs. ago in good condition. It had been garaged for 30+ yrs.. What a waste, but THANK YOU!! Got it up and running 2nd day at home. It even had the original Evinrude Starflite 75 on it in really good condition. I couldn't believe it. This is a boat I'd wanted since I was a kid. It was "the" ski boat to have in the 60's. I would guess the boat has probably been driven a total of 20 times since 1970. We haven't run it since the restoration and unfortunately are now selling this little gem. This boat was a truly magnificent experience as a project and on the water. Looking for a good home for it. Check out the Glassifieds if you'd like it to be yours. boogs09@gmail.com

1960 Pacific Mariner Rapier
1960 Pacific Mariner, Merc 50HP outboard, dual batteries, 6 gallon main tank, 5 gallon aux tank. Wagner hydraulic steering. This boat has been in my family since it was new. Last year I pulled it out of a 20 year retirement and have started slowly fixing it up. So far it has been a fun project and my kids really enjoy going out on the local lakes. Motor runs great, 110+ PSI compression. This summer's project is to recover/repair the front seat base and build new cushions for the rear seat I rebuilt last season. Windscreen repair will happen in a few years. Since it was stored in a barn I think it will shine up nicely once I get a new buffer.

1961 Anthony Jetcat 16A (forward facing rear seat) (20)
1961 Anthony Jetcat 16A (forward facing rear seat)
I saw Anthony at the 1960 Chicago Boat Show and had to have her. I traded my 1956 Glasspar for her on December 31, 1960. She was trucked in from California on an auto carrier deadheading home after delivering Ramblers. She has been in constant use since then with no major restoration. Her original Johnson 75 V4 was replaced with a Mercury 110 six in 1975. This is really a bit too much power... she is a bit unstable at full throttle :-) Her upholstery was redone in the early 80's. Two changes were 1) to make the piping the color of the seat, the original metallic thread did not hold up well, and 2) they could not duplicate the dash padding Her gas tank rusted out and a small section of the floorboard had to be replaced in the 90's I had the three Anthony nameplates rechromed in 2010 and the Buell freon horn was swapped for an electric (doing that killed me). I was 24 when we met, if you do your math I'm 75 now, so I don't ski behind her, but we go a lot. Enjoy

1962 Arkansas Traveler Vanguard '17 Cuddy
This is a rare 1962 Arkansas Traveler Vanguard '17 cuddy that i purchased from my father 3 years ago. The boat was in bad shape when i purchased it. I spent two years restoring it back to almost perfect condition. I rebuilt the transom with new marine grade plywood and epxy resin, as with the floor. The interior has been completly re-gelcoated and painted. The outside has been re-painted also. I ran all new wiring and switches, including a tach, trim/tilt gauge, and fuel gauge. I installed a custom built 20gal stainless fuel cell. The boat is powered by a 1978 model year Johnson 115hp V4 outboard. I enjoy the boat often during the summer months on Conesus Lake in New York. Im currently looking for a replacement windshield for the cabin, any information would be appreciated. I can be reached by email at paveljj@hotmail.com. Thanks for looking

1962 Glasspar Seafair Sedan (9)
1962 Glasspar Seafair Sedan
I bought her in 2004 when I moved to Chincoteague. I only paid $500 for her and immediately went to work restoring the floor and interior. I found a 1969 115HP Evinrude with electric shift to maintain the vintage effect. The motor gave out on me two years ago so I bought the 1977 115HP Johnson that is on her now. I kept the Evinrude cover since it is patriotic. I did a lot of work preparing her for a parade this year. I'm no restoration expert by any means so let me know what you think of her. I appreciate all comments and/or suggetions.

1962 Sabre Craft Pacer 15 (11)
1962 Sabre Craft Pacer 15
I believe this Sabre Craft is a Michigan boat which is unusual as most were from Seattle or Tacoma. The restoration has been pretty straight forward. The transom only needed a little repair and the floor was not too bad but I replaced it and completely filled under the floor with flotation foam. The hardest part has been trying to get the chrome and aluminum parts to acceptable condition. I used Pettit paint on the deck and transom and will just wheel out the hull. Overall, I have enjoyed the restoration project even though it has been much more work than anticipated.

1963 Sea Ray 808
A few photos of my "63" Sea Ray 808 that I bought locally (Harrison, Mi.)last July. Didn't have to do a whole bunch to it considering it's 47 years old. Had to have both carbs rebuilt last year and the lower ends where done last month. Built at the plant in Oxford, Mi. Powered by twin Johnson 40hp (63's)and it sits on an EZ load tandem trailer (also 63). It hadn't been in the water since 2001 and it was stored inside during the winter. I had to keep buggin' the owner to sell it to me and she finally did but only if I promised to treat her good (the boat, that is). Fun boat and I'm looking forward to getting lots of use out of her.

1963/64 ARKANSAS TRAVELER "COMET" (1)
1963/64 ARKANSAS TRAVELER
my 1963/64 arkansas comet. I live in an area that has two big lakes litteraly on our doorstep, in a valley with lakes at either end. when we moved here we realy wanted a boat, and on the side of the road sat this old girl with a for sale sign in her. we ended up paying $700 for it, and it was used a garbage trailer when we bought it, the guy would just throw garbage into it and use it as a garbage trailer motor and all. we ended up doing a tonne of work for the first few years and got to use it only a hand full of times, it had problems with overheating, but we fixed the problem due to the fact that it had a tonne of sand sucked through it. it was my father's originaly, and he ended up repaying me with it. I am about to under go a final restoration and possible sell her dispite how sad that would be. it's just not easy at 17 to be able to afford to keep it and pay for everything else in life, but im still debating weither or not to keep it.

1965 Bertram B-20 (10)
1965 Bertram B-20
This is a Bertram B-20 "Moppie" with the original deep-vee hull designed by the legendary Ray Hunt. Anyone else have one? My 1965 has been modified a bit for added comfort and dependability, but still looks stock. Upgrades include 4-piece glass windshield (25' Bellboy), higher hp (170 hp) fresh water cooled Mercruiser Six and outdrive, twin swim platforms, Bennett hydraulic trim tabs, twin Todd swivel pedestal seats, twin batteries, misc. electronics. The hull, deck hardware, interior, and gauges are all original. The performance of this boat is nothing short of remarkable. It's hands down the most comfortable riding boat I've ever owned. Whether flat calm or seriously big chop it always feels like I've got control. Point it in a given direction and it holds course with very little input needed. She planes easily and economically at half throttle with her very capable inline GM six cylinder. Super quiet, powerful, and dependable. What more could you ask for?

This also the last year of the Pipestone Sales Co. before the mariner corp took over and became Pipestone Mariner. It will be powered by 1968 40Hp Evinrude Selectrimatic.

1966 MFG Niagara (6)
1966 MFG Niagara
Base model Niagara with 1963 Mercury 350 (35hp). A true survivor, I bought this boat in October, 2013 after it had been sitting almost unused, but with annual maintenance, for over 40 years. This boat looks almost new with perfect seats, gelcoat and very few scratches on the motor. TeeNee trailer has some rust, but works well. Our family had a 1966 Westfield when I was a teenager and this is just like it, just the smaller Niagara model.

I just found this boat online & fell in love with it. I bought it on April 2, 2013 It has an Evinrude 9.9 hp w/ pull start, but I have a Johnson 50 hp with electric start that I plan to put on later. I am planning on just cleaning up for now & enjoying it this summer, but want to start some restoration in the fall. I will try to post my individual projects & lessons learned along the way.

1966 Regatta ~ 950 Merc
14' Hand me down from a neighbor burned out on boating after 3 years "It was kinda fun but it's just not our family's lifestyle". It sat for 3 years before I brought it around the block. It ran strong and I made sure first thing to get the *big fat* Merc manual for it. I have an evil plan to turn this into an alternative fuel machine. I'd like to have an electric outboard and recently I've been getting into alcohol fuel. Maybe run enough off a still to fill the tank, do some water skying, then finish off the day fishing on the electric till dusk and head 'er into the dock :) I'm learning what the infamous David Blume and his group, International Institute for Ecological Agriculture (IIEA), has to offer. His books like "Alcohol Can Be a Gas" are interesting and in the U.S. you can make quite a bit of alcohol for personal use. Non highway taxes are easy to document and pay the taxes on, thanks to the Green Movement. Alternitive fuels are not so taboo these days.

1967 Boston Whaler Sakonnet with Homelite/Bearcat 55
This is a 1967 Boston Whaler Sakonnet powered by a 1970 Bearcat 55 with an earlier hood. I replaced the hood because the original one has a huge crack in it. I hope to someday repair the hood, but I like the Homelite hood because of the emblems and such. I bought this boat in 2011 but didn't get to finally work on the rig until this year. It still needs lots of restoration, but this weekend was it maiden voyage.

My grandpa bought this boat in the 70's. Then my dad had it for years, then it fell in to disrepair and sat in the woods for ten years. then i came along, dragged it out, got her to run, rode like that for 2 years it was time for an overhaul, so i started early October 2012 and went through it. finished late June 2013 and been having a ball. with the old girl. her name is "Francein"!

It's obviously a Thunderhawk that had been re-badged by some boat distributor in Camilla, GA. 1988 Johnson 25hp with an Evinrude cover. Runs out to about 26mph loaded with 2 adults and a couple 12 year-olds. A very clean and well cared for boat.

I have owned this for over 10 years. My dad owned it since it was new. I resurected it when my wife and I baught it from my dad for $300. The block was cracked and the floor was junk, but we wanted our first boat. It took 5 years to locate a matching U.S. built 2.5 liter short block, and luckily it was the correct cast date. The engine is comletely in its original form with only 19 hours on it. The drive is original and only has 50 hr on it since its rebuild. It has the 1963 I drive. The paint is all original and it looks gorgeous with all the little flaws. I believe these boats were painted in emron, or something similar. Even though we have our Supra 21 sunsport, I get aspecial boating experience that comes only with my Owens. I have been a maring technican for 15 years and I own my own marine/yacht service, yet I am always amazed by the lines and detail of this boat and others like it.

I have always been in love with these boats as long as I remember. After finally buying a '68 CC Skylark in '95 and using it every summer until '06, I spotted this boat for sale online through Boat Trader and I just had to buy it. I purchased it sight-unseen for $4000 and arranged to pick it up the following summer on my way up to NH. Luckily I got the Skylark sold quickly. I headed up to NW PA to trailer it over to NH in July '07. After 4 summers the boat is just fantastic! It ran like new this past summer of '10. The boat is powered by a 210hp Holman-Moody V8. Not sure if it's original. The blue paint is not original. It was a green color and the topsides have been painted a brighter white. The interior has also been redone with blue seats/carpet and side panels. Over this winter the blue seats are going as well as the carpet. They will be redone in a white oyster color and I'm changing out the carpet for neutral vinyl decking. The swim platform is also a great addition.

1971 Searay SRV 180
I've owned this 1971 Searay SRV 180 for 42 years. It's never let me down due to regular maintenance on my part. This boat has never been restored and is in MINT condition. Seats are perfect, soft rich feel. No defects in fiber glass, stainless rails, horns, teak, etc. Bilge is spotless and engine has never had any leak, seepage, etc. Runs like a top. I refinished trailer in black Enron enamel approx. 15 years ago. Tires are new along with wheel bearings, races and lighting. This boat has had very little use as we had other boat (pontoon) to use most of time. I keep boat in storage in Michigan but will be moving it to Illinois soon. I no longer have a use for boat so must sell. I'm hopeing someone collects vintage Searays and has an interest in this one. Give me a call at 815-483-7090.

1972 Delta Boats of California runabout still running great!
My Dad bought this boat new in 1972 and he gave it to me in 2000. After he gave it to me, I repowered it with the same engine it had (Volvo AQ130C; 4 cyl, 130 hp). Thanks to some minor upgrades, it runs better now than it ever has. It makes me proud to own it and maintain it as well as my dad did for so mny years and enjoy it as our family did for so many years before I actually owned it.

1973 Arrow Glass Cheetah (4)
1973 Arrow Glass Cheetah
1973 Arrow Glass Cheetah. 140hp, completely original (except for the seats, but those are getting tossed anyway). It hasn't been in the water since 2005, and has been sitting in my brother-in-law's pole barn since then. As far as I can see the only obvious issue is a couple of soft spots on the deck, and a 5" surface gouge on the front center hull. Am expecting there to be more wood rot inside and plan to do a complete restoration. Luckily the engine and outdrive have been very well maintained, and I also have vol. 1 and 2 of the Mercruiser service manual just in case. Can't wait to get started on this project!

1977 Ranger 175-A Bassboat
1977 Ranger 175-A Bassboat I have owned this ranger for approx 10yrs. I left it parked at my pops house for him to watch it for me and of course it slipped his mind and it got sun baked for a few years. (Any help with the brand and/or top cap paint/color restoration would be great) In the past 7 yrs ago, I replaced the Transom with treated lumber, recently replaced the floor and carpet. I am almost finished replacing components on the '75 model mercury 1150 I'm going to put on my boat instead of the '77 Mercury 850. I want to be able to fish a little further out and still make it home for dinner! The "A" on the end of the boat name stands for Allison. Ranger bought the hull for this boat from a Allison racing boat and it became a bassmaster classic bassboat in 1975 and 1976.

60something McCulloch 13' Sport
My main reason for joining your forum is to get some kind of background info on a sweet little boat that I picked up about 6 weeks ago. The name plate on the transom says 13' Sport and the plate on the nose of the bow says "McCulloch". I haven't had very good luck finding info on the internet...odd! It seems Mr. McCulloch made boats under the "Scott" name but I can't find anything under HIS name! I'm told that he built boats under the Scott name in 62-63 but my boat is a later date before he dropped the boat division in late '67. ALL help is greatly appreciated! Thanks Kevin

Saw this boat in 68 when I was a kid growing up in CT. Had a big impact on me. Never forgot the Boat. On a trip to Racine I yelled at my wife to STOP. There is was as I rememberd but with a lot of wear an tear. The owner had been trying to sell it for several weeks in front of his house on the main drag. NOBODY stoped! 400 dollars took boat, trailor and 150 hp merc (running) motor! Guess it was meant to be. In the process of "period" restoration. If anyone has info i would appreciate it.

Got this boat for $750. Bought it for fun with my 7yr old son. After getting it home I kind of fell in love with it and am slowly improving her little by little. She has a 60hp V4 Johnson on the back and scoots along nicely. Wow, it is really difficult finding any comprehensive Steury information out there.

We would love to know the model. Started out as our 99¢ boat because of a seized engine. Turned out to be a trashed lower unit. Our 4 year old son named him Bixby. Repainted the interior the original fleck gray/blue/pink, new upholstery, new carpeting, new canvas, new decals copied from the originals. Rebuilt the lower unit plus all new shaft bearings and seals. Rebuilt carburetor and fuel pump. Rebuilt trailer axles. Added bearing buddies and new tires. We are now back to puzzling over new engine issues,.I like the 75hp Johnson Super Sea Horse. It is original to the boat and looks right on it. I would like to keep it Running. We are going to have to get a parts motor for Bixby if this keeps up.

The 1966 Bell Boy Beachcomber I bought/inherited when my uncle Jack passed away. He had wanted one of these for years. This one was found stored indoors in Springville Utah where it had been for many years. I have been amazed at the condition of this 48 y/o beauty. I have not put it in the water yet, but have kept it stored indoors myself. Its a new adventure for this auto mechanic, turned aircraft mechanic.

Copperpot's Journey - Scott's Pride and Joy
This is my very first boat. It's a 1964 Glasspar Avalon. We named her after our late dog Copper (nicknamed Copperpot). I really look forward to watching my newborn daughter grow up in this boat. We've only had our boat for a year and a half and already she's given more good times than we could have ever imagined. She's definitely become part of the family. Last spring I had the entire interior redone. Right now (2-4-10) she's in the shop getting her original bimini recovered. UPDATE: Just got the boat back. Bimini looks great. See pics. Look for me and my family cruising the California Delta almost every weekend in the summer. Happy Boating!

Dorsett
My Down-under Dorsett!!! The Dorsett belmont was made under licence here in Australia and badged under the name caribbean! It was the first mass produced (not that in the big scheme there were many produced compared to the U.S. volumes) fiberglass runabout available here in Oz!!! I found this old girl in a pawnbrokers yard looking pretty worse for wear after some 80's italian fishermen had done a number on it!... I filled over 100 holes and put in a whole new transome and floor which were soft and rotted. Total 2pac paint job + new rubbers and chrome all round. There is one of these in our National Maritime Museum... I will post some pics of it soon. Paul

Some pics of my Powercat 15t and soon to be classic 1975 Hydrostream Viper. I did a complete recore, transom, stringers and paint on the Hydrostream and swore I would never try and paint another boat. I got interested in inline six Mercurys and found one, attached to a curious looking old tri hull that I found out was a Powercat...ended up replacing the transom an painting another one.

I have no clue what htis is. I am actually hoping one of you fine folks can point me in the right direction. I found it in a field, it had been sitting about eight years. I plan a full rebuild. It has a 165 hp mercruiser, straight six. It is about 17 feet long, I measured it. There is absolutely no paperwork with it, not is there an identification tag or number anywhere on it that I can find. I am going to pull the carpet and seats out in the next few days, maybe that will reveal a number or two I can put to use.

Title says 1968 Beacon Craft? 14.5ft fiberglass. Can't find any info on that name. There is a Performer badge in the lower center of the windshield, no other identifiers that I can find. Anyone have any ideas what it is? I'm thinking Duo or Performer from the research I've done. Thanks for looking!

My Red Fish Shark Capri
This seemed like a great idea at the time. I got well into restoration, stripping old gelcoat, rotted core and transom. Re-glassed and reinforced hull bottom. Replaced transom and core. Then it happened. My wife informed me that after 19 happy years of marriage we were going to have a baby!! Things changed anf work stopped. Our son is now an amazing 10 year old and I have yet to return to this project. I feel I must set her free.

Pere Marquette (1)
Pere Marquette
This 1968 14'Pere Marquette runabout somehow migrated from Michigan to Maine. It is in remarkably good condition for its age. The boat is well built, and very seaworthy. It goes good with a 49 hp outboard, which is the maximum size that it is rated for. I found it with a full canvas top, on the original trailer. The only thing I have had to repair on the boat is the transom. The plywood core had rotted out, so I cut it out, replaced the core, and re-glassed the aft end. Good as new. I have never seen another Pere Marquette, and would love to hear from anyone else who has one.

We're not really sure what kind of boat this is. Some say it's a Shell Lake. Have also found very similar boats that have markings for "Johnson" yet there seems to be no info on a pre-60's Johnson. Well we've done a little work on her...
