NepaBob,

I had no idea that anyone was collecting the rather "plain vanilla" open fishing boats. - I still see a goodly number "out on the lakes" around here being used to fish for crappie, catfish, etc. OR "running trotlines".

Otoh, I HARDLY EVER see any UNRESTORED aluminum runabouts around here.
(I've seen TWO in the last 3-4 years, while looking for Glassics.)

NepaBob,

Ironically, I bought a 14' open fisherman by Lone Star (1955, I think)on a period trailer for 100 bucks complete, just this PM. - Now I need to find a suitable 10-25HP OB motor for it. - A Gale-Buccaneer or SeaKing would be "just peachy", as they are both tough and cheap.
(I plan to simply repaint it with Rustoleum and "go perch-jerking" for crappie and other panfish. = Haven't had a "just plain 'ole fishing rig" in a long time. - In fact, I may have to put together another trotline.)
