TOPIC: Glastron update

Transom, floors & seat base are all glassed back in. A little more glass work to be done around battery hold down & the "ears" of the transom now that the deck is fitted. Then it's ready for gel coat on the inside. Now it's time to tackle the underside of the deck, which has quite the sag.

I used structural epoxy for bonding the wood to glass, & polyester resin ( Isophathalic, unwaxed) for the cloth. Also called tooling resin.

I saw this boat at the Gravenhurst boat show, simply spectacular !! Bill sorry we didn't get to chat I went looking for you but no luck. I thought your boat was the best Glassic there, you just gotta love twins

Yes I restored them, took 3 to make two good ones

Were going to the Hastings show in August, you should bring that beauty there ? Sounds like a good time they have a 2 hour run up the river in the afternoon.
