TOPIC: 1964 Lane?

1964 Lane? 13 years 6 months ago #19410

I'm looking at boats - and I found this one. I think that half the name is missing.

Current owner thinks its 1964 Lane?

Waterbaby,
Welcome to fiberglassics. Looks like an interesting prospect. It would probably be better if we had a pic of the whole boat, couple of views. There are much smarter people than I here who can answer that for you, but I know whole boat shots will help identify it better.

There was a Lane boat company located in Canada. They had some kind of relationship with Custom Craft. That boat looks like it has a lot of CC features. More photos, especially interior, bow and stern shot could help.

BTW - Thanks - Happy to be here. The site looks great and has a lot of info for a prairie girl to sort through.

From what I've seen of the Lane's, they seemed to use a Custom Craft lid and another manufactures' hull, (possibly Crosby knock off?).

Of the Sun Ray clone that I've seen, they used a CC hull with a deep v mod.

Seems they are all post 64, so maybe this is where the CC molds ended up?

Love to be able to find more info on this, there just isn't much out there on the interwebs...

by the way, looking at the logo,it looks like its all there, because there are no mounting holes around it,like if it would have, if there were more to that logo.
