This boat was in TX, went there from NV.
I have had someone else send me a pic from one in CA too.

Suppose I'm the only one that likes it?!
Anyway, wondering if anyone has seen one. Thanks!

Bill
If you are asking about the profile picture, it is a Hydrocraft Fantasy.
I do not own a cat of any kind, yet.
This is also in another post but I will put it here again for you.
It is laying in a guys back yard. He says that he will not get rid of it. It looks to me that he has been mowing circles atround it for awhile. What a shame.

Yes I've run into them like that.
No worries I have plenty of motors.
Your Fantasy looks similar to Clint's Anthony in the Glassifieds.
Had an 18C with twin Homies, wow what a ride.
I have a 14T Powercat with a Merc 800 dockbuster on it now. Plan is to put a short shaft Homie on her. But been busy with my Skagit.
Here's a couple pics from this weekend.

The Skagit is a beautiful boat. I like the colors. Looks like you have done alot of work.
I checked out the Anthony and yes it is very similiar. I am looking for a Merc tower short shaft for mine. Got a couple located out here in the Pacific Northwest, need to just go seal the deal.
I found a 68 800 on a boat about 50 miles away. It was given to a gal that has no use or desire for it. When I asked her if she would get rid of it, she said she might, but she thought that the only thing wrong with it was it needed an oil change. :) She was going to have that done and then get back to me. Jiffy lube should get a chuckle out of that one too!!!!

Too funny re the oil change.
I once bought a Bearcat 85 4 stroke. The poor guy that had it running just assumed since she was an outboard she'd run off the Evinrude premix tank. So he sends me pics of it running complaining about the smoking, and for a water supply he had bent a set of earmuffs so they wrapped around the shift shaft access plate on the upper leg (NO cooling water to the powerhead). Fortunately he only ran it for two minutes or so, and knowing an impeller change/carb cleaning isn't rocket science I nabbed her.
I'm also in NW, out on Whidbey Island near Seattle.

I agree Neil, I think Bill's Skagit is one of the prettiest "cruisers" on the water today. That old cat looks pretty interesting too though, did you buy it Bill? Got any pics of the cabin, interior, etc.?

Thanks gents, yeah she looks ok. Biggest surprise was how the 3M Imperial took the oxidized haze to a nice shine in one step. Best compound I've ever used by far.
No, didn't get the Cat. I have files of boats I've admired over the years, and this is one of them. She sold the day after I found her and I didn't have enough time to responsibly make arrangements for her, and didn't want to make a commitment I couldn't keep to the seller. I think a 20' Cat cabin cruiser would be the ultimate cruiser up here in the saltwater. I also like the plywood Power Cat 20, fat chance finding one of those.
Added some pics showing removal of the plywood cockpit sole revealing Skagit fiberglass stringers. New deck is double sided MDO plywood, glued/screwed to the glass stringers, then filled all bilges with closed cell polyurethane foam, layer of 1708/vinylester, then gelcoated for the working finish.
Boat is much quieter, stiffer, safer. Beaches nice, to me beachcruising is the pinnacle of boating.

For you Skagit fans, here's a shot of my former 1956 Skagit 20 Chinook. I sold her to a great couple that just love her, boat couldn't have a better home since they USE her often.
Notice the flat panel windows on the cabin, and the one piece automotive glass windshield in her vs my 58.
Her name is Welike, she was named that from day one by her original owners, whose son sold her to me.
My present Skagit was owned by the Homelite/Bearcat outboard dealership owners up here in Seattle area. They must have different genes than most of us since she was the only boat they ever purchased!!!!!!! They named her Rock N Roll on day one, June 26th 1958. I kept the name on both boats.
Amazing thing is that both the 1956 and 1958 boats you see in these pics are still sporting original gelcoat applied in the mold 54/52 years ago.
Ain't fiberglass wonderful stuff?!
