Cool!

Interesting that she is riding high on the starboard side, even with the weight of the driver over on that side. Is this proof for the helm to be placed on starboard due to prop torque???

I'd say she's riding a bit high on the port side!

In a lot of these pics I was curving slightly and dealing with wakes. Of course, most of the pics show the starboard side, so it's difficult to tell. On flat water she seems to ride straight and level, I just don't have any of those kind of shots. But I do think you have a good point. For this run I was carrying an extra battery in front of the regular one too, and they are both on the starboard side. I had 6 gallons of gas on the port side, probably about the same weight as the spare battery.

I had some Jim, completely out of the water, prop spinnin and all, and Gregg missed the shot!

This one was the deluxe model. It came from the factory with a windshield, a steering wheel, fancy seats and an 80hp rating. The 80 hp rating came from having the deck/hull seam glassed. The standard model was set up for tiller control, did not have the deck/hull seam glassed and was rated for 40 hp.

I did not want the windshield back on it. I shaved stuff off the deck, installed a taller transom (for a standard shaft motor) and custom splash pan. It's powered by a '63 Merc 1000 with a cupped ss merc vengeance 3 blade prop. I adapted early merc PT&T to the motor, and control it through an Evinrude throttle handle mounted control.

I burned 200 gallons of gas in it this year. So far. But it looks like the season is about to end.

Never having done anything like this, I can assure you I appreciate the compliments. Thanks!

Looking good Frank.
I never get tired of seeing that driver/Tower/boat combination.
Looks like they are all doing what they are supposed to do. :)

LOL...Frank had to keep the speed down so we could keep up with the 14T. Frank's turning high 40's to my 30 in the 18DC, so it doesn't take long to blow by me. That said, I love the ride of the 18DC. More tuning to come. And man would I love a pair of 90 hp on it. I think it would be perfect.

Hopefully we'll get back to the river to play with the Missile, 18DC and 14T again Saturday morning. We're running out of time this season.

As it turns out B, Saturday morning may be best. I don't think we're leaving for Saratoga till mid afternoon. We're up there for dinner and overnight.
