You should be able to contact the State DNR or DMV, whoever handles boat registrations in that state and get the information that was given at the time it was registered. This info isn't always entirely accurate, but at least it would be a start.

Any way you can get some pics to post, that is your best shot at getting help here on the forum I believe.
