I certainly understand the thing about it being hours away. How does one buy a boat, many hours/miles away? I am really leaning toward a boat that is nearly 13 hrs. away. I keep asking questions and asking for specific pictures of certain areas on the boat. I can't imagine driving that far, just to turn around. But, there are times it is better to do so, then to live with a mistake.

If you buy a boat make sure you get a killer deal on it. If a mistake was made the boat can be sold for what it was bought for.

I drove 800 miles each way to buy a motor that I knew ran good. 1,600 miles total and maybe 14 hours of driving in one day. Its all part of the glassic life. You have to sometimes go to where these vintage craft lay. If you get lucky they find you, Mike

Remember, if its not what you want or like just walk away!!!

Not to one up you guys,BUT....I sold a McCulloch 75hp to a guy in Alaska...and he drove to Indiana to pic it up in person.....later that Month a guy drove from Mass. to my house for another Mc 75hp, so 3-5 hrs seems a little easy.....! The most 1 way miles for me was Minniapolis, Min. 8.5 hrs. Got a boat and 3 motors and a pile of parts.
