TOPIC: Brochure from Mercer Boat

Brochure from Mercer Boat 4 years 6 months ago #140921

Mercer Boats were made in Mercer WI, and are out of production a long time ago I attached a copy of the catalog, and the actual boat I'm interested in photos of is on the cover. This was a family boat when I was a kid, and the brochure would be a gift.

I am looking for sales brochures from the boat company, its a long shot...I also attached the old ebay add but the seller could no longer find the catalog he was selling.

There were two different Mercer Boat companies. The original one started building wooden boats in the 1950s and transitioned to some fiberglass. Ted Barth was involved with the company. Not sure when it closed. About 1970 a new "Mercer Boat" firm was born - no connection with the earlier company. They only lasted a few years.

Thanks for the response!

I see you added several picture attachments - do you have one of the brochures, that looks like the one I am searching for

I think someone posted them here on this forum.

These were pages from Mercer Industries, Inc. which was established in 1970 and was no longer making boats by late 1974. Somehow Saul Padek, owner of Thompson Boat Co. of Peshtigo, Wisconsin, ended up owning the building in which the Mercer boats were made. By 1978 a sawmill was located at that site.

Here's a copy of one of the brochures that I have. I also have some loose sheets, but they duplicate what is in the brochure.
