TOPIC: How to rescue a mudder

Mud, grass, trees, water. Another project begins. I wouldn't dare pull on the bow eye. Wrapped a line completely around it and used a come-along.

I can do that with my old Tee Nee. Seen a couple young guys who did not know there were plugs to put in a boat sinking out by Ross Island once. I lent them my spare plug. They were inches away from floundering. I had them sit on the bow when I pulled them in with a dead motor. He put a frayed rope on the boat and started winching. He had the front up and I told him to let it drain. No he could not wait. He winched it up on ROLLER BUNKS. Then he drove up the ramp without a single tie. I stood back and waited but that damn old frayed winch line held. AMAZED I was. Went up and looked and the gas was shut off on the tank. Their minnows were swimming inside the boat.

After high pressuring all the lichen and moss off I found this boat is steeped in tradition.

Took all of 7 minutes at the Wisconsin DNR to get the paperwork in order. Boat was last registered in 1981 so it could have sat in the field for over 35 years.
