Still problems with the stbd motor. Port running fine. Lots of finishing work left to do, so have it at the dock to work on for a couple of weeks. We'll get it.

The 2 blade stainless solved the cavitation problem on the Missile. What a hoot it is to drive. Took it out early this morning and had some fun with it. Real nice rooster tail coming off the 1350.

How does it run with one motor B? Lots of steering torque, or is it okay with just one motor running? F

Not running the Power Cat F, towed it to the island. Still need to mount the controls. Had to buy 12" 1/4x20 threaded rod to mount them as the only 1/4" bolt I could find was 6". Need 7" for the box, a 2" mahogany block to provide standoff from the coaming, plus the coaming. Will have those mounted today or tomorrow.

Any ss threaded rod up there in the 1000 islands B, or just plain steel stuff?

We might take the 14T out tonight if it's not too windy. Tomorrow is supposed to be less windy. One of these two days I need to run up to Wolf Road and get a haircut and a decent dress shirt for an upcoming funeral. So we'll see.

I just keep workin on the boat when I can. Still lots to do. We're off on a non-boating vacation next week. Next year our summer vacation will be two weeks long and on Keuka Lake I hope!

Enjoy the Missile.

It sits very nicely on the water. Your lucky to have that hull. I like the color you mixed up too, Mike

Mates chair, fwd and stern lights, and synchronizer are in now. I paid $28 for the bow light at the ABM last summer. Has a little pitting. This year I found two of the same lights at the ABM...$300 each...yikes!! Definately a little nicer, but not perfect by any stretch. Heading to NAPA today for wire and a pull switch, will get it wired up and then pull the boat for the motor work later on.

I was just wondering this morning about you and the progress on the PC Brian, thanks for the update and the pics. She's really coming along nicely, hope you don't get tired of us telling you how REGAL that baby looks, she's a real head-turner to say the least! Taking the Missile to NAPA, or is there one on the island?

No NAPA on the island; it's a private island. Taking the island's Whaler to the mainland, grabbing the car and headed into Alexandria Bay. Gotta get a gallon of deck paint too as I'm repainting the front deck.

Hi Steve - Well a lot of water has gone through the locks since I posted that! Missile is running great. And the motor problems on the 18DC should be history. Headed north to the 1000 Islands to retrieve the 18DC on Friday. I hope to launch and run it, but may need to just haul it home and test it here. Closing up the cottage for the winter and may not have time to mess with it Friday. Boats are a journey, not a destination. You never seem to arrive, but the trip is worth it.
