Any of our tin boat experts KNOW what this boat/OB/trailer in a salvage yard is?

THANKS for posting some of the photos. - Have you seen one exactly like this?
(I spent considerable time looking in the library W/O success.- It looks like a Lone Star's lines but I cannot find a LS with a transom configuration like this one has.)

Looks like a 58 lark hanging off the back.
Here's one on a glass boat I have sitting out back.

YEP. It's appears to be either a 58 or 59 Lark. - It looks like everything but the seats are there, too.

To ALL,

There is (as far as can be seen) NO data plate, serial number, maker's name or any other identifying data on the hull.

The boat was first registered with the TX Parks & Wildlife Department in 1959.

Anybody else have an idea? - I'm completely clueless on the identity of this one.

NOT until the salvage yard is willing to give me a notarized bill of sale. = It MAY be STOLEN.- At this point it's NOT salable.
(The yard owner is trying to find legal documents to allow him to sell it.)

Well at least if he knows you want it, it surely won't get scrapped. At some point you would hope they would say "We can't find anything about this boat in any records anywhere so nobody can claim it was stolen because there are no documents of ownership" or "Yep, it was stolen and we have contacted the owner" either way hopefully it won't get scrapped. The scrap yard does know whom they bought it from, right?

Generally, around here "items sold for scrap, by the pound" are bought for cash without required ID from the buyer.
(I've sold all sorts of scrap metal picked up at our club's premises & have been asked for ID twice in numerous "trips" to Newman's Recycling.)

I just don't know if they know who the seller was. They are "looking for info" for me & said that it won't be scrapped until they check things out.- The boat/OB/trailer is therefore safe for now.

After looking carefully at the FG Library, it's a 1959 CRESTLINER Voyager 15.
(I knew somebody here would KNOW.- Now to get the papers on it!)

Notarized bill of sale???... Don't worry 'bout the mule going blind, just looooaaad the wagon!!! Shoot first, ask questions later!!! He who hesitates... I have bought and sold many old boats, motors, trailers etc. with no ID tag on them anywhere... Just have a buddy along with you as a witness.

You do not live in TX. That did work till about 5 years ago. Then with the boats being stolen and re TXed the put a stop to it

I had all of that already, except the phone number for the PO. - I presume that you noted that the TPWD document says that the brand-name is "V BOTTOM"!
(Evidently "the seller" & Mr Perez are NOT the same person.)

WOO HOO. - I talked to Mr. Tino Perez at 2120, 05/12/13 & he stated that he sold the boat/motor/trailer for cash, as he had lost the registration.

He will call the TPWD Boating Department tomorrow PM to get a set of duplicate "state papers" & will sign the registration/title over to me for $$$.

You are welcome. The one in the back wanted "shotgun" but didn't call it fast enough. The one riding "shotgun" is tired of the one stuck in the back griping about his situation and the one driving actually has a little smirk on his face because it's his boat and he doesn't have to worry about such nonsense LOL :lol:
