It is a round chine hull with a flat section. Get it up on it's side, and the prop breaks loose. The boat loses speed, flops back down on its flat section and the prop bites again. Repeat this action till you get around the turn buoy.
yup, the Jersey speed skiffs are a 'different kind of boat' to say that least. Most poeple love them or hate them, and if you love them they are really adicting. (I have two of them, an antique wood one and an early glass one.)
