TOPIC: Scott trailer serial number location?

I just aquired a 1961 Royal Scott 15' runabout, with original 47.3 hp o/b and trailer. Pics to come. I need the trailer serial number for registration and neither I nor the former owner have been able to find one. Can anyone assist with respect to a possible location?

YES.the ID# should at the front of the trailer on the top next to the tounge the reason i know is mine is missing. I have a 1962 royal scott boat [ 15 swim& ski ] and o/b scott 43.7 custom sitting on a royal scott [deluxe tilt ] trailer.I am looking for who made the scott trailer , I NEED THE MFG. NAME. I have a 62' Flying Scott 17' and it's on a trailer Mfg by Continental Boat Assesorie Co. LA Calif. The tag is on the right side rail just ahead of the tilt bolt. I don't know if it the correct trailer, but it fit the boat perfectly. The tag is brass and is riveted to the side rail, so I know it's fairly old. Can send pics if you need them. Later, Pat
