TOPIC: 1968 Duo Runabout

My first boat!!! Thought I'd throw this one in there too........ 1968 Duo Runabout with a Mercury Mark 35A. First ski boat for the kids - I still miss it, but I sold it for enough dough to buy and fix everything on the Conqueror! I redid the carbs and points on the motor to get it running. What a cool looking motor - I love the white ones. I painted the motor,boat and put in new carpet and seats. It took some practice to get used to the separate shifter/throttle levers! I relocated the gas tank and battery to the bow of the boat, was an awesome ski boat and I could take the kids out all day on a 6 gallon tank. Was great for little kids as I could pull them at 8mph. Top speed about 25mph. The electric start was great and having the recoil was nice too if I killed the battery (only once!)
The flag finished it off and I got many compliments on it at the lake.
