Wow, in the 60's I lived right around that area. Neat old boat, and never been on the water. I know about Dade County Pine. The older it gets, the tougher it gets. I believe it's pretty much unavailable these days, it was all harvested out years ago. It gets so hard with age that you need to pre-drill it to drive in a nail. Once had a house in Ft Lauderdale with floors made of the stuff. I refinished them and they were spectacular.

That is really a touching story. I can understand how he feels as I got my Aristo from my Dad. He is gone now and that makes the boat worth even more to me. I wish the gentleman luck in selling it and hope he does finally get to ride in it. jim
