TOPIC: Carb for Buick V6 in 1964 Johnson Tri-Hull.

Carb for Buick V6 in 1964 Johnson Tri-Hull. 1 month 3 weeks ago #149143

Having trouble with my Rochester RBC and thinking of getting new replacement instead of a rebuild. Most new carbs i have looked at online don’t have the automatic choke. Any do’s and dont’s when running a universal choke cable to the back of the boat?

Just rebuild it, it's a simple 1 barrel. TBH, I thought it was a Weber carb but maybe I'm wrong.
Do you have any idea how long that choke cable would be?

Auto carbs are not interchangeable with marine unless you want to see fireworks in your future. Also, there is no fast idle on a marine engine so no stepped cam on the carb for the idle stop screw. The bowl vent will be within the perimeter of the air horn & not allow fuel to vent all over the engine bay should the float stick open.
