Neat boat. Is that gearcase on the Johnson something special? Looks sort of pointy on the front of the bullet.

Nope the gearcase is just a standard electric shift LU from the era. After the football size monster on the fat 50's OMC had to do something to increase the hydrodynamics of their motors.
