TOPIC: Champion outboards

Does anyone know much about Champion outboards? I got a Champion with my SkiMate, I was told it was a 5hp but all of the stampings say 4K which I believe is the 7.9 hp. Can't find much info inline.

You are correct, the 4k is rated at 7.9 h.p. at 4200 rpm.
I can make you a copy of the 0perating and parts list if you wish.

I downloaded the carb and magneto pdfs from the library after I posted this. I'm sure they'll be a big help.
