Hey guys new to fiberglass world. In February I purchased a 1984 mfg caprice barn find got it real cheap. Has a mercruiser 165 inline 6 Did some engine prep as it was sitting for some time hooked the battery up have her a crank and she turned over real smooth so added some fuel no go changed the points and condenser gave her a crank and she fired right up timed it and we were good to go.took it to the lake had a good 3 hour run noticed the boat was telling alittle have we headed to the trailer pulled it out and wow water came out.. low and behold rotten transom so motor is now out and we are currently pulling the bad stuff so my question to all is do i rebuild the transom with epoxy or poly resin any help would be great .
