A prior post recommended sealing transom screws with 5200 sealant. Do you recommend removing screws,covering with sealant and replace or just sealing top area of screws without removal.

I've removed the screws, dipped the tips into the opening of the 5200 tube to get some on, then screwed them back where they came from. Wipe off any excess. Can take up to a week to completely cure.
