TOPIC: 71 9.8HP parts?

I just picked up a free Merc 9.8HP I believe.
Serial # 3181847
1971 I think?
Where do I get parts.

Previous owner was the brother of the original owner. It was getting water in the lower unit, but it still worked.
It is missing the drain plug, and can use the cowling gasket.
This is a cosmetically near perfect engine.
Are original manuals available, or do I get a Seloc?

I want to check this out properly, and get some lube in that lower unit asap.

Will Cabela's synthetic be OK?
I also have OMC type "C" on hand.

I am used to Evinrudes.
This Merc thing is new to me, put who could pass up this deal.

I hope that motor has a good stator assembly. If it does not, pass it along or be prepared to outspend it's value.
