TOPIC: '65 650 possible short shaft ....conversion kit

The '65 650 that came on my Tahiti i believe may be a short shaft converted to a long?

Question is what did that long shaft kit consist of?
thought it was the spacer block and a splined extension piece to extend the shaft off the power head/crank?

i want to drop the lower but curious on putting back as short shaft!
