Getting ready to mount the 1988 115 HP Mercury securely to the Glastron V-153 next spring. Upper and lower transom supports are from TH Marine and use the standardized bolt patterns. The supports will distribute the stress over a wider area on the transom. All the fasteners are 316 stainless steel, very corrosion resistant. Bolts are 1/2" diameter fine thread, 5" long. Nuts are Nylock. Fender washers are 1 - 1/2" in diameter and fit just inside the recessed holes in the transom supports. The small washers are called shims.

Parts ordered from MacMaster-Carr, who have an online ordering website that is user friendly and they have an extensive number of fastener products.
