TOPIC: old old 350 tiny holes in lower unit, drips of wat

I have an old 350 35 hp mercury outboard,
in the lower unit near the vent screw is a tiny hole that is dripping a little water. there is the same hole on the opposite side not dripping water. what are they for and is this a problem????
