I was able to get my hands on a manual engine tilt made by Merc. It was part of a grouping of 5 motors and a powerhead that I picked up a while ago. I have seen pictures of them, but never had my hands on one. Anyone know how they worked and how many were made? Seems pretty straightforward as it is basically just a hydraulic pump.

Torn between using it on one of my projects with is getting a 62 850 or putting it on ebay to pay for the rest of the items.

Let me know your thoughts.

Too cool to get rid of, IMHO. Some years ago Ponyboy posted a video of a boat (Ugly Peg?) that had that set up, and it was fascinating watching him operate the system. You don't see too many around anymore, I would definitely have to keep it.

Hey Mark, sell it, pay off the house. Put it in your store for an outrageous price and see what happens.

I will buy some of your other stuff so you can keep it. Perfect to use on that white Merc!

Hi All,
It is not a Mercury factory accessory, but rather produced in the 1970's by Dole Manufacturing. The kit I think had the two modified Mercury shock absorbers included for the model shown, or one may have had to take the shock absorber partially apart to convert for their model utilized for use on a Mercury outboard. I cannot remember for sure now being 40 years ago.

Regards,
Joe

Thats sort of where I am leaning. Put it out there at a really high price until I am ready to use it. If someone bites then I have more funds for other projects.
