I figured I should post since I finally got around to working on this thing.

The day I picked it up:

Where it sits today:

Multiple wet, heavy snows ruined the cover and filled the boat with ice. It also split the windshield, but that wasn't in the greatest shape anyway.

I've moved the motor to the basement for winter and am working on replacing all internal gaskets and rubber lines.

A carport is coming for cover. Paint and accessories are on standby, so I hope to wrap this project up by fall and in the water by summer.

HA, engine looks like it's in police interrogation,

"C'mon Louie, spill the beans! What did you do with all the fuel?"

Lol.

I thought it looked more like a creepy basement that the killer keeps his victims..but I'm a little twisted. Haha!

A quick video of the compression test soon after I got the boat.

There is an annual boat show in Tomahawk, WI. during the summer. I sold this boat to a fella in IL. that has a home up there and a collection of classic cars that he wants to put the boat behind for the show.

That looks a heck of a lot like mine!

I'll have to check out that show this summer. Thanks!

Slowly but surely. Stripped the hardware and accessories off and sanded with 220. Filled all holes and flipped it over onto saw horses to start painting this week.

Looks really good.
Roll and tip? If so, what kind of paint did you use?

Just rolled with a closed foam roller. I used rustoleum marine paint with valspar hardener and a little bit of mineral spirits. One coat was a half a quart.

I put another coat of red on and sprayed a fresh coat on the trailer.

Then I filled some holes and sanded it smooth on the topside.

Plenty of Leinies O to help with the project.

I did a second coat ood white then decided to build a floor. I didn't like stepping down into the V hull and wanted to bring the gas can and batteries above where water would be.

First I painted the interior to complete the 'Murican colors:

Then I cut 1x4s to length across the hull. After it was fitted I used treated 1x2s to attach them together and give more support. I stained it all and coated it with polyurethane.

I thought it turned out okay for me having never attempted anything like this. Now ill be moving onto the seats!
