TOPIC: What is this hole in the floor

Been lurking around here for a few months and actually purchased a 1977 aristo craft nineteen that I plan to restore over the next few years and replace trailer as well, po put a bass boat trailer under the boat and it's to short.

Was looking at boat this evening and noticed a hole/opening in the floor of the boat under the starter. What is this hole and why is there water in it and why is it not draining, what do I have. To do to drain it?

Any help is greatly appreciated. I look forward to input as I try to redo this project

I was working on a'75 nineteen last year and was told on another forum this was where the blower hose goes. Don't understand how that would work too good pulling air from the ski locker under the floor.

Thanks Jim, that is real strange, guess I will just hit it with the wet/dry vac. The end of the ski locker does have two ports , I would think the blower would be pulling up water?
