TOPIC: 1960 Sheler's Outboard Boat Price Pilot

A recent addition to my reference library and soon to be added to the FiberGlassics Library, the 1960 edition of the Sheler's Outboard Boat Price Pilot.

This publication is useful because it lists the range of outboard boat models for the listed manufacturer- and this helps identify the year of brochures or pricelists by the range of models offered each year. Also this can provide vital company information, leads for further research, and may be the only information on a manufacturer until original literature turns up.

Amazing where information can come from, on a quick inquiry into one of the manufacturers listed in the Sheler's guide, I found the following declassified 1962 Office of Civil Defense Research project "Group Shelter Investigations" by the Army Corps of Engineers. The study looked at steel, wood, concrete, and plastic nuclear fall-out shelters. It happens to have a list of fiberglass boat manufacturers at the end of the publication, a number of which are not previously known or only very poorly known:
