TOPIC: Antique Trolling Motors

One of the guys at work is helping liquidate the estate of his father-in-law, found these in the boat house. He's looking for info, approx. value, any info would be helpful with the sale.

The Electric sportsman sure looks interesting. The Minn Kota model you have is the most common troller seen and has a value of between $75-$125.00 if it works. I would value the Sportsman at between $125 and $175 as I have never seen one before and I think it's neat. The electric motors don't have nearly as big a collector base as the gas ones and when I decided to sell off 3 of mine it took a long time to find them new homes. I still have 2 LeJays and 2 Minn Kotas in the collection

Best bet is throw them on Ebay
I have bought minnkotas like those at estate auctions
for as little as 5 bucks
and sold them for as high as 150 with a little clean up
