need help as i would lik to mount a 12hp buccaner on my 1052 viking but the cavitation plate is about 3/4 to 1 inch above the bottom of the boat is it okay to run like that

I'm not familiar with either of your components of the setup Thad, some pics might help. Generally speaking, you should be fine with the AV plate an inch above the keel. As long as the water pickup (for cooling) stays completely under (in) the water while underway, and the prop doesn't ventilate (blow out) I don't believe it will be a problem.
