TOPIC: Cool temps! Wait to glass the core?

Cool temps! Wait to glass the core? 13 years 11 months ago #62575

It's supposed to be in the 50's by 6:00 am. I wanted to start glassing in the core at that time. The weather forcast says it will warm up to 60 by noon and remain in the 60's for 8 hours. So, is there any harm in laying it all down tomorrow morning and letting it cure through the day? I'm using West System with the slow hardener which cures from 60-80 degrees.

It will cure, but it'll be very slow! It could even take days. If you can get some of the fast hardener locally, you will be better off, but it will work, just be prepared to wait a LONG time
