i've been making OB motor stands out of walkers, nuts & bolts & pieces of scrap 2x8 for years. - i get them from garage sales & thrift shops for 5.oo or less. they will safely hold OB motors up to about 300# & some have wheels so that you can easily roll the motor around. yours, satx |

Well- ne advantage is if you throw your back out trying to lift the motor you've already got a walker ready to go

I've never seen that before but it's neat. I picture myself at a boat landing using a walker with an outboard on it. Think of the stares you would get.

for 5-6 bucks per OB stand, it's hard to beat & they FOLD for storage or transport, using stainless steel bolts, washers & wingnuts. = i've sold LOTS of them at old OB motor shows for 20.oo each. - a nice little "sideline". (i buy every one that i see at our local "senior's thrift shop" for 3.99 each & pick up 2x8 scraps at construction sites.) yours, satx |

I have two of them in my attic. Don't think they would hold a long shaft dockbuster though.

actually, i've had a Mercury MK 78A on one of my homebrew stands.= at least the ones that i've had, can be extended plenty far for a longshaft OB. yours, satx |
