Its Sunday afternoon and my good friend Tom who must be one of the finest machinest on the planet just returned my repaired rudder to me. He made a new stainless shaft from scratch, tapped out the old post, threaded the rudder and new post to spec, screwed in with lock tight the new shaft, drilled and pinned it with a new stainless pin, the top of the shaft is also machined to exact spec as the one that broke off. What an artist!. Pics attached.
