Mastercraft, the water ski boat folks, started in 1968 according to their company website.

Maybe there was a different boat builder using that name earlier? Maybe it was a model name, but not the manufacturer's name?

There was a boat trailer company called Mastercraft so maybe the seller grabbed that name as the boat make?
