TOPIC: REDFISH Serial Number help needed

I was stripping the shiney bits from the RF Capri today and was delighted to find a serial number stamped on the inner transom cover plate. Ever since I purchased the boat last summer, I assumed this plate was not original, and therefore thought I would never know the original serial number.

So here it is: SCU311. The strange part of this is that the 3 is stamped upside down, and the first 1 is stamped sideways. Very strange. Do any of you Red Fish owners have a similar stamped transom plate. Does anyone have any knowledge on how the 1959 Red Fish boats were numbered.
