TOPIC: 1960's Dorsett Farallon "Off Shore"?

I'm looking at an unusual boat that I have never seen before and it doesn't seem to be in the Dorsett catalogs from the early 1960's. It's a 21' Farallon but not a cabin cruiser. I would call this model an "Off Shore"; it has a very small cabin space under the bow with more open deck room then the cruiser. It has a small block Chevy engine and OMC outdrive and so if these are original, it must date to the early 1960's. Can anyone shed any light on this mystery Farallon? The last photo is of the standard Farallon.

Interesting project. Some searching puts it around later 60's. Unusual, some pics show more of a cuddy. Keep us posted please.

I just realized this this boat is the same as my 1965 Dorsett 23' fireboat, except the fireboat doesn't have the front windshield and has a mid mounted engine powering a huge jet drive instead of the OMC outdrive. These 23 footers are extremely rare- does anyone have more information like production figures, engine options, etc?

The 1st OMC V8 was a Buick 300CID rated at 200 hp. 1965 & 66 (& maybe 64). The Chevy V8 blocks were 1967 & later, mixed in with Fords on & off over the years.
So if original power it had to be built late 66 or after.
