On the transom (the back end of the boat) look in the upper right hand corner for a serial number (a Hull identification Number) if there is one it should be a twelve digit number like ABC12345A178 or similar. The first three letters are the manufacturer identification code. Look it up on the Coast Guard Web site. at uscgboating.org/content/manufacturers-identification.php If there is no number it was made before 1972. Look for builder plate inside the boat. It could be anywhere. Let us know if you find anything.
