Does anyone have a fix to tighten up the rack and pinion Teleflex steering?
The steering wheel turns about 1/8 rotation before the motor moves. Everything on the motor end is tight without any 'play'.
I took the rack apart and can see some slop in the mesh. No missing teeth. This makes for some difficult controlling at slow speed where the boat constantly wonders. Even if a fix is temporary.
