TOPIC: 14 foot PLAYCRAFT Runabout

Have any of you ever heard of a fiberglass FINNED boat called a PLAYCRAFT, which was evidently manufactured in MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas circa 1955-58.
(The Titus County Clerk's Office has NO computerized records of the company & I was told that they have "no interest in" looking for records that are likely in the courthouse basement, IF the records weren't thrown away years ago.)

IF anyone has ANY records whatever or even a PHOTO, I would be very pleased to see it, as I spent a portion of my boyhood in Titus County.

The ONLY example that I know of is a 14 foot, red over white, runabout with fins the size of the fins on a 1957 Chevy Bel-Air & belongs to a man in suburban Houston.
(The hull looks similar to a 1957 REDFISH Shark or the Glastron Fireflyte.)
All else that I "think I know" is that the owner believes that it was bought new from a boat dealer in Austin & it is on the original Dal-Tex trailer.

Note to our Librarian: Please add PLAYCRAFT to the list of Texas-made fiberglass boats.
