TOPIC: Very new , ihave a lake n sea , I need some input

hello,

I just bought a lake n sea 1959. It had water in the bulge and i don't know how long it was kept in the open.

I will also mention the boat looks like someone used latex paint to paint it
My big fist consideration should i cut it open to inspect the stringers? if so any suggestions on the best method?
