TOPIC: Hub help?

So I need advice on replacing hubs in the propeller for my Volvo Penta AQ100 Outdrive. I got my bronze propeller hub replaced but it spun out after I tried my new sx tabs. I put on my aluminum prop and the original hub also spun out...I'm assuming it was just dry rotted from sitting new in the box since 1961. Anyways, I was able to find 5 more hubs, but I'm concerned they won't last long. I'm not running the sx trim tabs anymore because I'm too paranoid. If I keep having this problem, i'm wondering if I should get a machinist to drill a hole through the prop and the drive shaft and just put in a sheer pin. Does anyone know if there are any interchangeable hubs I could buy with 12 spline that would fit my props? (Michigan smc 885 and 890 3 blade 12 spline.) What would or have you guys done?
