After two weeks and many hrs later she's in primer (two coats of pre-kote) and ready for sanding. The recommendation is to sand with 360 before applying final paint. I have a bunch of 360 wet/dry sandpaper. Do I sand wet or dry? Our weather is perfect for painting etc and the wet would dry easily but not sure how to proceed. Thanks for any suggestions. Mike in 80 degree Oregon.

I think wet sanding is always the way to go, paper wont gouge or bite, or clog up with primer when kept wet, and residue floats off the surface rather than being ground back in...

But let me ask you this, I'm no expert, and in the painting I've done, to give the primer enough bite for your first color coat to adhere, isn't 360 a little too fine? Certainly between coats you'd want to go progressivly smoother,,, of course alot depends on the type of paint and the application methods,,, perhaps the more knowledgable will chime in,,,

Thank you very much for that great explanation. I re-read and the reco is for 320 gold for primer sanding. Right in line with your suggestions. And I will take great care to make sure I remove the sanding residue if I go with wet. Great stuff!! Thanks again, Mike
