Did they restore the lake after the dyke blew out?

Peter that was back in the late '60's when I was up there, I was just a youngster, but I remember bits and pieces of the trip well to this day. (Funny, now days I sometimes can't remember something that happened yesterday, but those memories stuck with me for some reason.)
