Hi,
Does anyone have a photo of the latch handle/mechanism used to secure the upper windshield on a Dorsett Catalina? I'm installing mine, and the latch is even with the contact, instead of above it (see attached). Maybe it needs to be shimmed?
Thanks, Jay

Invert the one attached to the windshield and see if it lines up then.

Welcome aboard Jay. It doesn't appear that the windshield is down flat against the deck? The gap appears to be about what you need to make the latch work........

Yep, JAG, tried that, didn't help. This windshield was originally on top of the "visor" that was on top of the cabin of 62 Catalina's. The contour of the visor might have been different. Thanks for your response! Jay

Hi MarkS, thanks for the welcome aboard and your reply. The gap might be the issue; this windshield was originally on top of a fiberglass "visor" on top of the cabin. It might've had a different contour, which is why there's a gap. Should've introduced myself- I've been a member a while, and have learned a great deal here. I'm nearing the end of a Dorsett Catalina restoration, and will post some pictures when it's presentable...
Thanks again,
Jay
