TOPIC: Room for twins?

Room for twins? 10 years 10 months ago #106275

Been following the very interesting "twins" thread, but thought I'd start a new one.
I'm wondering if I have the width to mount a pair of '56 Javelins on my project boat. It certainly looks like the transom was built to accomodate 2 transom clamps, but considering some of the numbers and pics in the other thread, I'm beginning to wonder?
The boat was rated for 80HP when new.

Width of motorwell opening..........34.5"
Width of the 4 motorboards.......... 24"

Comments appreciated.

bill, sure looks like you could run 2 motors. with the extra transom knees, and the uprite boards. you should have plenty of width for twin motors. just my 2 cents. greg
